SpinFX '06 bred some fresh talent, skills, friendship and rashes.

Tropical Cyclone Glenda had passed the Wickam area a week before the boogie making the eco system boom with all kinds of life, including ones that make you itch!

Russel was always itchy during the boogie week as he always had a rash of some sort. We first detected Russel's Rash whilst on the return boat trip from Delambre Island where he had jumped in. This rash was definitely a heat rash. You could tell he was affected by the heat with his heavy eyes, his slumped beer bottle slowly spilling out precious beer, and finally, his welt-like red rash around his neck.
Another sign was his denial of the rash, he didn't heed the suggestions of friends  to get out of the sun and insisted that drinking beer would keep him from dehydrating and make everything ok.

The following night an unfortunate event happened while he was sleeping - his tent mysteriously collapsed on itself letting hundreds of circling mozzies and other biting insects in. This was Russel's biggest rash ever - not only did his heat rash continue, but it was now unbearably itchy. The bunk room was now his best option of safety, so he moved from under his collapsed tent, over the lawn mower, table & chairs, whipper snipper, buckets and deck chairs that had somehow surrounded his tent in the middle of the night and into the safety of these bunk rooms. Marvellously, Russel managed to survive through the rashes and all the posters around the DZ about his rash and soldier on with his tutored freefly jumps and he also achieved head down by 100 jumps.  Well Done Russel.
